Guided and rerouted

Hello folks, I’m a bit speechless, but not really, or else I wouldn’t be writing this…

The making of Sandi’s Sacred Spritz, has been such an amazing personal experience. Sharing it has been a priority for me. Financial attachment isn’t important – getting it to the people that need it, is. This morning, I wondered how I was going to incorporate my intentions with the finished product and getting it out there.

I went to Taco Bell, (please don’t judge! Walmart is next door!) to get a bite to eat, in Espanola, NM.

I don’t make it a habit to eat out this way, but if you twist my arm… as I waited in line to order at the window, I noticed a small group of people gathered around a table. There were a few things on the table. There was a sign hanging in front. It said, ‘Barrios Unidos‘. I was very curious to see what that was about, but I was in line, and my grumbling stomach won out.

I ordered, paid, and decided to park next to this mysterious set-up. Hunger aside, I walked over and there was a lovely woman, with kind eyes, and endless patience speaking to a young lady. They both sat on a cooler. The young lady looked unkempt. She looked scared, and tired. I didn’t mean to interrupt, but I asked the dark-haired woman what they were giving or selling. She explained to me gently, that she was in the middle of explaining what the first-aid kit was for. She finished her conversation, and then walked over to me. I asked her what they were offering. She explained it was an outreach for people struggling with addiction. They were giving out these amazing first-aid kits, snacks, face masks among other goodies.

Barrios Unidos First Aid Kit

After introducing herself as Lupe Salazar, she explained that they are supporting those who are struggling with drug addiction. And they are not interested in judging, only helping, and supporting in any way they can. I told her I was happy to know there was a program like this out there. She offered me a bag of KIND Clusters, dark chocolate vanilla nuts & fruit. Delish… I thanked her and then she said she wanted me to have a first-aid kit, but there were other people behind me, and I didn’t (or so I thought) need one. I told her that other people needed them more than me. Then she said they had enough to give away.

She brought out a kit, and then opened it, and explained everything that was in it. In the pics shown here, I don’t show all the goodies. But here’s a list:

  • Comfort & Support Salve for COVID times
  • Yarrow Flower Styptic
  • Wound Healing Salve
  • One packet of Arnica Montana 200C for bruises, sore muscles
  • One packet of Ignatia Amara 200C; shock, Grief
  • One packet of Mellifica 200C; stings, Bites Swellings
  • Organic Calendula chapstick
  • A small vial of Breathe well essential oil
  • Vial of Bergamot essential oil
  • Vial of Lavender essential oil
  • Baby Orajel
  • Triple antibiotic
  • Chest rub (because everyone uses it and it’s a household remedy!)
  • 2oz hand sanitizer
  • Packages of bandages and disinfectant wipes
  • Tierra Madres Nopal + Pina herbal tea bags
  • Higado Deto-X Herbal Tea Clean Liver (Lupe told me that liver problems are associated with anger.)
  • And, a bundle of cedar smudge stick

You might be able to imagine my surprise. I was very happy and gladly accepted the kit. She then told me about a support group for grandmothers who are taking care of their grandchildren. Which I plan on attending. I then asked if I could donate my Spritz as part of the First aid kit. She was very happy that I offered this. My 2oz lavender, and lemongrass bottles should fit in this kit!

Folks, donating can mean sharing links, word of mouth, volunteering, giving… in whatever form that comes. Please visit Barrios Unidos, here, and lend your support!

Many, many blessings, Sandi.

The making of Sandi’s Sacred Spritz

Making a mess, making my Sandi’s Sacred Spritz and loving every minute of it!

Hi ya’ll! I thought I’d post a vid of the making of Sandi’s Sacred Spritz. I had tons of fun, but it’s tricky… finding the right angles, light, camera, camera position, background, sound or no sound, and I’m sure I’m missing something. The one thing I know, is that my process didn’t change one bit, during filming. It is what it is – the vid, here it is.

So what is it? About a year ago, I saw an image of three things: holy water, purified water, and salt. It’s only recently that I had the guidance to add Lavender Essential Oil. I started with a 2.7oz bottle. Then, it evolved to a spay bottle. I began giving these to essential workers. Then, I realized why not other people that needed it?

Divine guidance, inspiration, or whatever you’d like to express it as, has its own origins. For many years, I thought I had to be a writer. I ended up writing three books. My favorite is Light and dark; a Pause in Writingan autobiographical novella.

But, as layers of challenges and unresolved issues presented themselves, I was drawn to healing. And writing more books just wasn’t in the cards. So, I stopped. Writing. This is a self-published endeavor. One with sweat, love, doubt, and constant mind-changing from one extreme to another. Any writer will tell you, books don’t write themselves. Great writers are full of great advice. I created the cover image, I was the writer, the proofreader, the editor, and the publisher. I will always appreciate and remember the writing of these books, as the greatest feat of my life.

So, I’ve been blogging. I write when I am inspired. Because the advice to write everyday, simply does not apply to me. It may, and does to other writers. I’m okay with that.

Enjoy every moment

Sometimes, successful writers drive that point: write, write, write, keep writing. As someone who kept writing, I can say that the process is magical. It takes you to a place you would never wander all on your own. The words, the energy, the imagination will take you there. Because you see, a good writer will do that with their story. I remember having a conversation about two years ago with my sister. I maintained adamantly, that my life would end if I didn’t keep writing. I was dead wrong. Here I am, still alive. A goof ball of sorts.

In the end, well, beginning, middle, and everywhere in between, I’m me. A sometimes writer, Sandi’s Sacred Spritzer, and whatever else you’d like to call me.

So folks, thanks so much for putting up with all this to get to my Video!

A very special refill

I drove in the rain today – here, in northern New Mexico, we need rain. That doesn’t mean it’s not needed anywhere else!

It lined up nicely with my mission today, which was to see Father Valentine at Santo Tomas church in Abiquiu, New Mexico. I was due to for blessed refill… read here for more details!

Sandi’s Lemony Sacred Spritz prep

Hi Folks!

I’ve made a batch of lemongrass Sandi’s Sacred Spritz. I feel a sense of calm. I see the sunrise shine through each bottle. These come in 2oz. spray bottles: $7.00. The blue bottles hiding in the background, are 4oz. spray bottles:$14.00; I always look forward to my batch roll-outs. I also got together a lavender spritz in 2oz. bottles and think I may just stick with the 2oz bottles. For both the lavender, and the lemongrass, and adding the 4oz spritzer in both lavender, and lemongrass.

The air fills with lemony scents, and lavender sprinkled here and there. Every bottle is made with love, and special attention to each ingredient; you see, not all bottles have the exact same mix, with exact measurements. Why? I have no clue. Just that I’m guided by spirit to mix, and save questions for later – doesn’t mean I’ll get answers…

Lemongrass spritzer contains: Holy water (River Jordan, and blessed holy water from St. Thomas church when possible), purified water, and lemongrass essential oil.

Lavender mix: Holy water (River Jordan), purified water, sea salt, and lavender essential oil. Lavender essential oil provides a sense of silence; calm, peace, and a relaxed state of being which is hard for me to attain. Follow the links in this post for more info. Folks, be safe, stay well, thanks for stopping by! – Many blessings, Sandi

Why me

Sandi’s Sacred Spritz

One day

I floated just enough

to graze the clouds

a fleeting moment of bliss

only to realize

I had to make this sacred

spritz

why me?

I asked God

Why not, He replied

and so the mixing began

the prep delicate and slow

the labeling a loving labor

of sorts,

a promise of each bottle

belonging to one person…

Is it you?

Sandi’s Sacred Spritz

Life giving water. Every day, several days a week, we drink water throughout the day. The focus being, the replacement of the water we lost on that given day, or days before.

The consensus seems to be around 73-78 percent of water-bound human bodies in existence as we know it. So, staying hydrated is totally essential for our most robust life, or lack thereof, a life threatening possibility.

When I was divinely guided to make this spray with only 4 ingredients, it seemed simple. Uncomplicated. Water is the unspoken life-giver, that we often overlook.

Whether you’re a great swimmer, make trips to the beach, an adventurous pirate seeking ocean thrills, or cruising on luxury boats, being in/ on the water is a must for some.

Some people, are happy with bottles of water that they carry around. My spritz, gives immediate miniature moments of ocean spray, only in a bottle with sea salt, holy water from the river Jordan, and lavender essential oil.

I carry a 1oz bottle in my purse and am loving spraying lavishly in my surroundings, wherever I may be. May you also find your happy water place!

Many blessings, Sandi๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ.

Messy or organized chaos?

The making of God’s spritz

Alright y’all… God’s Spritz? I mean really?

As hard as it is to believe, every bottle is lovingly, and carefully measured with all natural ingredients: Holy Water from the River Jordan, sea salt, purified water, and lavender essential oil. Sometimes, the measurements vary slightly. I don’t think or worry about it. Each bottle is made for that special someone.

I am divinely guided to make and share this unique blend: equivalent to lighting up sage sticks, or the like, these 2.7oz bottles serve the same purpose: to cleanse, purify, protect, and add an amazing scent to go along with it!

As I set to work to make these, I felt an immediate sense of calm and peace. Made to fit easily in any space, this is convenient, instant refreshing calm, and well, however it’s meant to assist you.

Is it egotistical to say it’s ‘God’s spray’?

Many blessings, Sandi

faithful forty: day 19

Spring flowers March, 19, 2021

Lent (which is my entire – well mostly – reason for writing Faithful Forty posts) is a time to figure out what you’d like to give up. It’s also a time when we are reminded and most significantly, that Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights prior to his ministry. I’m not a Catholic or Christian. Though I was baptized and received holy communion and all that jazz, when I was a young girl.

Most, if not all believers of these faiths, take part in the rituals connected to lent. So, you may be wondering why am I observing and celebrating lent, if I don’t actively practice Catholicism or Christian beliefs? If I’m talking to a select few of individuals who do practice lent as said faiths, I might be judged. I might be told that my attempts here are not worthy of God’s divine smile and approval. And no judgement by the way if that happens to be people’s opinions. I create blog material for myself, and hope others’ will enjoy it.

I don’t have any logical or religious affiliations regarding my spirituality. I have a connection with God/higher power, etc., and welcome all who happen by this post; all 40 of them. As such, I have a sacred relationship with the divine. That is my reason. I’ve given up, giving up. not much, but it’s a start.

I’ve been wondering what Jesus would be doing now. During His time in meditation: conversing with God. Is Jesus sitting down on a mound full of wonderful desert flowers? Is he walking along a river, or stream, and gently patting His face with a few droplets? What is God telling Jesus? April 3, 2021 is Easter. The day that a miraculous resurrection took place.

I wonder what my 40th post will be? Will I share my own experiences with the endings and beginnings I have achieved during this 40-day observance and celebration? That’s my goal after all. To share. To my future self: way to go on your spiritual climb. Keep climbing.

And so I’ll pass that on to you – with or without religious affiliation – keep climbing, don’t give up. You are not alone. I’m wishing you all many blessings as I continue on this challenging task.

Many blessings, Sandi
