Source, Spirit, God, Higher Power…

But are you really listening?

Fireworks… they’re almost here.

Freedom

A new day, in a new life. Breaking free of self-imposed chains; external forces that cuffed me somewhere along the way; seeing a new way forward inspired by seemingly impossible obstacles to overcome; Easter. The day we observe The resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This isn’t a post about religion. It’s an acknowledgement that we experience many endings in our lifetimes. And through those endings, emerge new beginnings.

Today, I celebrate my own release. Release from negative live-feed internal nonsense, and build healthy boundaries around those who seek to tear down my efforts.

🥂, may you all find beauty, courage, and strength around your soul. 💞

Many blessings 🙏🏼, Sandi

Faithful Forty: Day 38

Be Love Not Fear

This post is dedicated to my brother Reve. I miss you little brother. R.I.P.: 8/28/2010.

Today, 3/27/’21, I’m thinking about my brother – he would have turned 43 today. 🎉🥳🤗♈💞.

Things I learned from my younger and only brother:

  • Don’t be stupid
  • Don’t judge other people
  • Don’t turn someone away; especially if you’re the only one that can help them
  • It’s ok to talk about the bad shit
  • It’s okay to speak your mind; just be decent about it.
  • Pray more, worry less
  • Listen to music
  • Dance to music
  • Sing a song, even if it’s off-key
  • Spend time in nature
  • Love on your animals
  • Rescue animals
  • Be kind, don’t be blind
  • Wear sunglasses that protect you from the blinding sun, but that also look cool
  • Do things that feel good, but don’t harm yourself or others
  • Don’t do drugs
  • Say no when you want to/or should
  • Live your life your way
  • Accept yourself
  • Laugh, laugh harder
  • Forgive others
  • Forgive yourself
  • Love yourself FIRST 🙏🏼

♈ is the first sign of the zodiac. Both of us are Ariens… He was the kinder one! I learned so much from him. There’s so much more I could list here. But for now, these things live in my heart, and Reve, you will always live in my heart.

Thanks for stopping by! May your day be sweet, safe, happy, and strong! Many blessings 🙏🏼 – Sandi

Faithful Forty: Day 28

Your turn

Today
It’s your turn
Dig deep
Swim wide
Eyes open
Who are you?

What will you do?

Your heart yearns
Begs the
Question
Now, later, never
Tomorrow
Maybe?

Your soul
As old as the
Universe
Merges with the unknown
Why fight
Maybe just flow?

What will you do?

Another day is done
Embrace that
Someone
Cheer them on
Hold their hand
It’s your turn.

Faithful Forty: Day 25

There are tons of cool websites that talk about numerology; but that’s not why I’m touching on this. Day 25, today, is important to me.

Yes, when I add my birth month and birth date, it totals a 7. When I add my month, birth date, and year, I get another 7. Double-seven…

Biblically, God made the earth in 7 days. Sunday, is a day of rest; there are 7 days in a week; the seven-year itch; I imagine I’m missing a few other interesting events that mark the number 7.

I imagine that God would want us all to observe this special day of rest. It’s a number of perfection and completion. A time to dig deeper into our souls’ purpose and look for answers to problems that can be solved outside of the box. To analyze, not criticize.

Am I perfect? Absolutely not! Do I want to be? Nope. I think numbers can be significant. So, can you tie this special number to events in your life that are significant?

Be well, stay safe, and many blessings 🙏🏼! – Sandi

Faithful Forty: Day Eight

Faithful Forty Poetry

The churning
and burning
of bright light
leads me here in great delight

Test of time
is the first
poetry line
your inspiration purely divine

I gather my
hands in prayer
as I peel through
every layer

And humbly show
gratitude
for every word
comes from you

Art inspires inner fires

I’m not an artist. But these are extraordinary times, that call for extreme measures. Peace of mind; a way for me to express beauty, oftentimes through stress, confusion, and other emotional rollercoasters to varying degrees – led me to divine doodling. My doodling during work meetings, phone calls, and what seemed like boredom, actually led me to feeling inner peace, thereby creating images that capture my moods, emotions, chaos, and a slew of other deep stuff.

O’vehlu: Journey to God. What does this mean exactly? How does it tie in, doodling and the divine? Our individual journeys, lead us to the most sacred of spaces; in our mind, bodies, and souls.

Why am I sharing this?

  • Why not?
  • You don’t have to be an artist to channel creativity, your own divinity through art, or in this case doodling.
  • Would love to explore and hear about others’ experience through creative arts; including all other mediums in the arts.

I look forward to sharing this form of art, because doodling doesn’t require any kind of specialty in the arts. No academic degrees required!

Many blessings,

Sandi
